Lawn Applications
Fertilizing your yard provides a multitude of benefits.
- Promotes growth – the biggest benefit to fertilization is to improve the growth and uniformity across your yard. Instead of having a mix of lush and thin areas, fertilization provides nutrients in a uniform manner to yield a full, lush lawn.
- Weed reduction – there are several fertilizer options that include a pre-emergent. This provides weed control chemically. However, applications without weed control still provide weed reduction by promoting a full, thick lawn. Weeds rely on sun and space to grow – a uniform and thick lawn reduces the space for weeds to take root naturally.
- Disease resistance – when grass has all the nutrients it needs it will stay strong and healthy and be able to resist disease, similar to our immune system doing it’s job when we take care of our bodies.
- Pest resistance – similar to disease resistance, a healthy lawn makes it tougher for pests to intrude.
- Improved soil health – grass is a nutrient heavy crop. It is constantly drawing nutrients from the soil to utilize for growth. Replenishing the nutrients to the soil is important for consistent growth. A thick and healthy lawn reduces the risk of soil erosion and depletion through naturally occuring weather events.
Ultimately, fertilization is an investment that will provide a multitude of benefits, including resulting in a beautiful yard to enjoy with your friends and families.
Our 5 Step Program:
We have created a program of 5 applications between March and November to maximize the health of your soil.
Soil Sample
Prior to the first application we will take a soil sample to ensure the best products are being used.
Taking a soil sample will allow us to see what the current condition of your soil is. For example, if a specific nutrient is low, sufficient, high, or excessive. It will also tell us the pH of the soil. This information is key in promoting the maximum uptake of a nutrient and can be the biggest factor in an unhealthy yard.
Applications
- Round 1: Fertilizer with Pre-emergent
- Round 2: Fertilizer with Pre-emergent
